I SEE HARLOT: SHE DOTED UPON THEIR PARAMOURS

Tell me more Ezekiel! If I knew the Bible had more donkey-dick lovin' cum-hungry harlots I'd be in Church every Saturday night!

I affectionately prefer the more dignified King James:

"For she doted upon their paramours
whose flesh is as the flesh of asses
and whose issue is like the issue of horses"

Anyone know the original Hebrew?

  1. וַתַּעְגְּבָה, עַל פִּלַגְשֵׁיהֶם, אֲשֶׁר בְּשַׂר-חֲמוֹרִים בְּשָׂרָם, וְזִרְמַת סוּסִים זִרְמָתָם.

Hebrew sources seem to agree upon "And she lusted for their concubinage, those whose flesh is the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is the issue of horses" for the translation.

  2. being a nerd for this I consulted the JPS Tanakh.
"But she whored still more, remembering how in her youth she played the whore in the land of Egypt; she lusted for concubinage with them, whose members were like those of asses, and whose organs* were like those of stallions.

    *Meaning of the Hebrew uncertain.
