I realize the following post may venture into dangerous and inappropriate territory for a blog written by a male porn star and devoted, in part, to sex, but I recently discovered an incredible flash game created by a 5 year old girl named Sissy.  What gay man really isn't just a 5 year old girl named Sissy anyways?

There is profound aesthetic virtue in drawings only a child can produce: straightforward, whimsical, energetic-- lacking all that pent-up self-conscious yearning to impress and inform that stunts most adult art.  Try replicating them yourself.  After about age 8, its impossible!  In addition to some simple, yet incredible drawings, "Sissy's Magical Ponycorn Adventure" is also a lot of fun.  Forget you're an adult for once (18+ advisory button aside) and return for a brief moment to the magical logic of childhood.

To play the game yourself (and donate a dime or two to Sissy's future Ivy League education) follow this LINK.

  1. I always find the diversity of your blog to be refreshing, so thanks for this posting. I still have artwork done by my nieces when they were little and their simplicity, uninhibited creativity and lack of "following the rules" (who says a cat can't be drawn in purple crayon?) is something we adults should emulate. It would make the world a much better place, wouldn't it?

  2. I agree completely. As an art teacher of young students, I never tire of their wonderful imaginations, and beautiful work. And may I also recommend "Axe Cop" a delightful comic book written by a 7 year old and illustrated by his 30 year old brother. The young boy in all of us (not the literal one the figurative one) would appreciate the creativity and humor in it.

  3. I know her dad (who is a video game designer as well as the voice of the male characters in the game) - if you want some interesting insight into the world of a smaller (yet extremely creative) video game developer - check out his blog:
