I SEE PENIS: SOUTH OF FRANCE
BSD reader Ghislain was vacationing in Sanary sur mer when he discovered the suggestive bald palm above.
According to Malayan folklore, each bunch of palm nuts bears a single "illustrious" seed resembling a shiny black pearl. Called the 'sbatmi' in Tamil and 'shakti' in Malay, the seed is often worn as a charm and used in rituals, though the practice reportedly waned in popularity after Malaysian pop-singer and witch doctor Mona Fandey employed the use of a 'shakti' in the murder of politician Mazlan Idris in 1993. Mona and her husband beheaded Mazlan with an axe, then skinned and dismembered his body.
Thankfully our little French palm tree will only have to morn the loss of a few fronds.
