TERP-I-TUDE

Who knew Maryland had such flair?  The University of Maryland Terps, named in honor of the diamondback terrapin, once the signature dish of the Chesapeake region (Philadelphia and Baltimore once competed for claim to best turtle soup in the nation before over-hunting threatened the species), just released this season's new uniform.  And Damn.  Those gloves!  The shoes!

There may be no better fashion statement for a state with the official motto "Fatti maschil, Parole femine".  Manly deeds, womanly words.  Go Gurl.

I wasn't sure where to post this.
Is this guy using your picture, or is it another doppelganger?

  2. I remember coming across an article in Smithsonian, that reinterpreted U.S. state flags, changing them to look more heraldic, and with better graphic design so they had stronger impact, (i.e. NY, where I live), and the Maryland flag was agreed that nothing needed to be done to it. It was perfect.
