Sometimes you identify with an artist solely because of a shared sentiment: a love of color for instance, or fondness for a stupid joke well-told.  Funnyman artist Erwin Wurm and fashion designer Walter Von Beirendonck have collaborated before (as with "shirt for two people" above).  Both are BSD favorites.  This time, deploying the same material used to construct ballerina tutus, they co-designed walking tulle sculptures.  This past August you could observe models strolling the grounds of Antwerp's Middleheim Museum fashionably obscured.  Performative sculptures celebrates three decades of Von Beirendonck's wacky fashion.  Along with notable fashion designers Dries Van Noten and Ann Demeulemeester, Von Beirendonck made his mark as part of the illustrious "Antwerp Six" who graduated Belgium's Royal Arts Academy in 1980.  While I can't claim any honor nearly as distinguished, the sentiment is shared.  Move over boys; make room in the pod.
