A GUNNERY SERGEANT AND THE FIRST (SORT OF) CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR

While impatiently waiting for Colby to pick me the fuck up already from Newark Penn Station, I learned that John A. Basilone (does thy rhyme with Bologna?) was the first enlisted Marine to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. But the qualifying text suggests that it wasn't THAT impressive of a first. Let's go, Mr. Keller. I got states to see!
