Word to the wise: go easy on the ab routine/Nepalese buffet combo. Due to an overzealous appetite for gobi manchuri and an even more zealous appetite for exercise, I'm home sick today with a sore tummy with nothing to do but laugh. I'd post a slew of these College Humor videos, but this seems the most eppropriate. Enjoy.
She's right but 'alright' is definitely a word in the US, and more and more in Britain, too. Compare the very different-meaning 'already' and 'all ready,' as well as 'altogether' and 'all together.' "Alright' and 'all right' are similarly differentiated.
ReplyDeleteAnd 'fiancé' is an acceptible spelling of 'fiancée,' according to a bunch of dictionaries.
But yes, the rest of them are dealbreakers.
A straight man has a "fiancée."
ReplyDeleteA gay man has a "fiancé."
But, really, I could care less. This leaves me unphased (and we all know how painful that can be).
