EIGHT DAYS A WEEK: LOUISE LASSER RASPY-NEAR-WHISPER



I decided to go for the soft sell.

"Keith," I lowered my voice to a Louise Lasser raspy-near-whisper, "I'm a singer.  You might have noticed I spend an inordinate amount of my time in nightclubs."

"K.T., I know you're a singer."

"Let me finish," I touched a forefinger to Keith's lips.
